Who can play at Westside Warriors?

Westside Warriors welcomes all players between the ages of 5 – 18 years old (of all genders and skill levels) who live in the city of Vancouver.  

When does the season start and end?

The Flag Spring season runs from Mid-April to Mid-June, and the Fall Tackle season runs from Mid-July to Mid-November

My child is new to football and I don’t know which division to sign up for?

We welcome all players to our league, please refer to Fall/Spring divisions for more information.

Can a player play out of their age division?

As per the VMFL handbook, players are not allowed to play out of their age division.  Players are not allowed to move up or down.  NO exception unless approved by Majority Resolution. 

What equipment is required?

All football equipment is provided by the club except for cleats, football girdle, practice jersey, practice pants, football gloves (optional) and mouth guard.  For detailed information about equipment and where to purchase, please refer to Football Equipment Guide.

What are the expectations of the parents?

Westside Warriors is a parent-run organization and requires ALL parents to volunteer so that all players can have the best football experience possible.  There are team and league wide duties that each parent is expected to volunteer.  

Who do I contact if I have a problem that needs to be resolved by the league?

If at any time you have a problem or just want information, you can contact the league.  Please discuss any concerns with your child’s Coach or Team Manager first, and then finally contact the President.

Who do I contact for a copy of the AGM?

AGM minutes are available on request.
